Istanbul Trade and Development Symposium
The Istanbul Trade and Development Symposium brought together policy-makers and experts to tackle structural transformation, in conjunction with the fourth UN Conference on the Least Developed Countries. As they had for earlier sites, ICTSD needed to register attendees online, publicise their programme and speakers, and provide practical information to participants from around the world.
Archived events as a resource
The value created when distinguished speakers exchange ideas deserves to be recorded and shared with as wide an audience as possible. By posting presentations and videos of the sessions, ICTSD has given everyone access to the outcomes of their event.
Easy technical solutions
We used YouTube to reap all the benefits of social media, and to reduce ICTSD hosting costs. Videos can be embedded within the website simply by inserting a ‘Share’ link.
Sessions with legacy
Each session within the programme links to speaker bios, presentations and video recordings. Material can be posted immediately, creating momentum for follow-up discussions and collaboration.
Live in no time
ICTSD was pleased that we were able to get the website up and running very soon after the Symposium had been planned, maximising time for outreach and ensuring it was a great success.
