Adaptive acquire Ethical Studios agency

Adaptive are delighted to announce our acquisition of fellow Drupal agency, Ethical Studios.

The acquisition of London-based Ethical Studios comes after several months of discussions between the two businesses. Adaptive will take ownership of the Ethical Studios brand, website and company assets.

The deal also sees Adaptive taking over the provision of Drupal support and development services to Ethical Studios' existing client base. This includes a variety of European and U.S. clients – predominantly charities and non-profit organisations such as the International Disability Association, Earthmind and the International Union for Conservation of Nature.

Steve Allen, Adaptive's Head of Client Services, said: "We've been keen to extend our services to a larger client base by finding synergies with other Drupal agencies, so were very interested to be approached by Ethical Studios Directors, Patrick Lunt and Andrew Edwards, about a possible acquisition of their company.

“We already work with a number of international clients, located in France, New York and Singapore, so it’s exciting to now be adding clients to our roster in locations such as Geneva, San Francisco, Washington DC and Bonn, Germany too.

"We also take particular pride and enjoyment from the work we deliver for our clients who are charities or non-profit organisations, so it's a fantastic opportunity to be able to add more of these types of customers to our portfolio from Ethical Studios' client list.”

Steve added: "We plan to take Ethical Studios' customers under our wing with a minimum of fuss and disruption and provide them with the excellent standards of Drupal support and development services around which we have built our reputation.

“The conversations and feedback we’ve had so far from some of the new clients we’ve been talking to has been very positive. There are some great new projects in the pipeline for a number of the organisations and we’re very much looking forward to working with them.”

Patrick Lunt, Director of Ethical Studios, said: "We're delighted that Adaptive will be taking care of our clients given their strong experience in the charity and NGO sector. As a long-established and growing company, they will be able to assist our clients in their mission to make the world a better place, providing stability and expertise to meet the increasing demand for digital outreach.

"We are moving onto other projects with the peace of mind that our clients' important work will be fully supported for a long time to come."

Adaptive's Managing Director, Dan Frost, added: "This acquisition is the latest chapter in the continuing growth of Adaptive, which has seen its turnover more than double in the past three years.

"It's been an exciting year for us already. We've continued to add new clients to our roster since January and have also completed a move this year into newly-renovated office space here at The Mill in Derby.

"We look forward to meeting with, and getting to work for, the new customers that we are gaining from Ethical Studios' portfolio."
